Light lunches on the veranda

For those in need of a light lunch with a spectacular vineyard view, Featherstone offers summer fare served al fresco on the veranda.

The veranda is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, beginning on the Victoria Day weekend in May, and ending on the Labour Day weekend in September. (For the 2010 season, opening is on Friday, May 21, at 11:00 am, and closing for the season is on Monday, September 6, at 4:00 pm).

Reservations are appreciated but not necessary. Featherstone wines are served by the glass or bottle to accompany your meal. We also offer a selection of juices and cold non-alcoholic beverages. (Sorry, we don't serve coffee or tea.)

Please remember that the veranda, although covered, is an outdoor venue and customers should dress appropriately. We do not have indoor alternatives for dining.

Menu All meals begin with our freshly baked "clay-pot" bread served alongside our signature dukkah and local cold- pressed canola oil for dipping. Dukkah is a medley of roasted hazelnuts, sesame seeds, coriander and herbs that is a delicious bread dipper.
Soup, Bread & Cheese	$9.95
Our seasonal soup is made from local produce and varies throughout the summer. For example, Green Pea Vichyssoise, Creamy Asparagus & Mint, Chilled Peach or Gazpacho. A serving of locally made Monforte cheese and fresh bread accompany your soup. Recommended pairing: 2009 Black Sheep Riesling
Three Critters Cheese Plate	$12.95
Enjoy three delicious cheeses each made from a different milk source. Piacere is an herb crusted sheep's milk cheese, fresh chevre is a tangy goat's milk product and cow's milk Triple Cream Brie rounds out the selection. Served with fresh fruit , crackers and flat bread. Recommended pairing: 2008 Canadian Oak Chardonnay
Mediterranean Antipasto Plate	$9.95
A tasty assortment of salami, house-made basil lemon hummous, kalamata olives, grilled peppers and oven roasted tomatoes. Served with fresh bread. Recommended pairing: 2008 Cabernet Franc
Mushroom Medley in Asiago Cream	$9.95
A rich cream sauce of Asiago cheese and button, cremini and portobelo mushrooms served over crostini. Superb! Served with fresh bread. Recommended pairing: 2008 Red Tail Merlot
Turkey Breast on Ciabatta	$9.95
Generous slices of turkey on a fresh ciabbatta bun, garnished with sprouts, caramelized onions and cranberry mayonnaise. Recommended pairing: 2009 Rosé
Additional clay pot bread	$1.50 each
Additional dukkah and oil for dipping	$1.99 each
